The zoo is considered to be the second home of various animals which are either bred in captivity or rehabilitated due to injuries that they encounter in the wildlife; some are released in their natural habitat after recovery or once they are already mature enough while others continue to live in the corners of the zoo. For these animals which are kept in captivity, a specific caretaker is assigned to them, and that is the zookeeper. In the movie, Griffin Kayes (Kevin James) works as a kindhearted zookeeper who is lonely and overweight, has found himself to fit in with the animals because of his social life level in the human world which is below the minimum. One day, he decides to start another career outside the zoo and his animal friends in search for a more attractive job in order for him to win the girl of his dreams over. But when the animals found out about this, they looked for a way to prevent Griffin from leaving them, and the only way they could do this was by talking to Griffin in the human language, which was something of a secret until now. To stop Griffin from finally resigning as the zookeeper, they decided to provide him with everything they know about courtship and help him win the heart of the girl of his dreams.
The Zookeeper is a fascinating story about life and love in both the human world and the animal kingdom. Who knows, you might also learn a trick or two from the lessons that the different animal species will share.
