You don’t need to go out and look for all of those fancy technical films that are loaded with CGI, why not stick to the usual cartoons for the family and try out Rio. This is one of the best family films that you are going to find almost anywhere on the market today; it has all of the right moves about it to be a classic.

A lot of cartoons are swept under the rug once they are out of the spotlight for a while and never seen again but it is the classics and much loved cartoons that never get quite as boring even when you are a little too old for them.

There are the comedy geniuses and then there are those who would not care what they give their kids to watch but Rio would not let them down. Even if it is to take an hour away to yourself and sit them in front of the TV for an hour or so; this is the best choice.

You’ve got a great cast of Jamie Foxx playing a supporting role with the brilliance of Anne Hathaway of being the so-called love interest of the little bird Blu that wants to get away from his old life in Minnesota and escaped to Rio – hence the title.

There are no big surprises but this has all the marks of being a classic that will be called upon again; there is no worries about the kids getting bored easily, it as a few comedy moments in it though it is not like the classic sleepy beauty but it is still a pretty film.

The cast is pretty good in fact; you get a mix of wonderful actors to even the odd singer or two also.
