A movie that is thought to be jam-packed with big stars like Jason Statham, Robert de Niro, Dominic Purcell and Clive Owen is set to be seen by the audience in the big screen entitled Killer Elite. Based on the controversial novel by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, The Feather Men published in 1991, Killer Elite talks about a murder of 4 of the British Army soldiers along with two of the Special Air Service. There were killed or assassinated by a group called “The Clinic”. And the author of the book, Sir Ranulph Fiennes claimed that the story happened in real life.
The star-studded movie was directed by Gary McKrendy who also directed everything in This Country Must Go, a short film where he received an Academy Award Nomination in 2005. The list of characters is mostly hunk men and the introjections of sexy Yvonne Stahovski balanced the action-packed film. The cast includes:

The plot in the book was controversial because it was said that the author’s source is the Ministry of Defence which was then leaked to The Daily Telegraph, a know broadsheet in the United Kingdom. The books is about the British Armies (4 of them) who were killed or assassinated and the fuel adds more fire when the Dubai sheikh was the one who ordered that kill order because his son was also killed by the British forces in Oman. This was thought to be the war or battle between Communist guerrillas where British forces also participated. What adds more to the intrigue and controversy was also one of the targets but he was saved by a group called “the feather men”. “The feather men” is a Special Forces group that protects its member and save those who are the targets of “the clinic”.
The movie began its shooting date in May 13, 2010 and was shot in Docklands Studious Melbourne. Subsequently, other locations were also shot like a scene at Brecons Beacons in Wales with Jason Statham. Robert de Niro also had a small part in the movie where he portrays as an assassin and it was filmed in Paris. But what people don’t know is that the scene was made as if he was in Melbourne during the spring but it was actually shot in Paris.
Along with the production staff is a budget of $60 million where it was produced by Michael Boughen, Tony Winley, Sigurjon Sighvatsson and Steve Chasman. Matt Sheering wrote the script while Simon Duggan was the cinematographer and the editor was John Gulbert. The playtime is 100 minutes or 1 hour and 40 minutes and the releasing company is Open Roads Films who happens to be connected with Lionsgate.
The casting were hotshot actors especially Jason Statham who portrayed a lot of action related like The Transporter series, The Italian Job, Death Race and he even filmed with Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li and Bruce Willis in The Expendables. Clive Owen on the other hand is also a famous English actor who portrayed action related movies like Inside Men, Children of Men, Sin City, The International. He even won an award as best supporting actor in the Academy Awards, one of the most notable award-giving bodies all over the world for his movie closer in 2004.
Robert De Niro as everyone knows is a very established actor who won an Academy Award for best supporting actor as he portrayed Vito Corleone in The Godfather II. Not only that, a few years later, he then won his best actor award in the Academy Awards for portraying Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull. And as of the present, his films mellowed to romantic comedies like Meet the Parents, an animation with Shark Tale, Meet the Fockers, Little Fockers and many other movies.
Dominic Purcell is known for his action series-Prison Break where he plays as Lincoln Burrows, the brother of Michael Scofield who helped him break out of the prison for a crime he did not commit. He also starred in other movies like Mission Impossible II, Equilibrium and others of which he comes out as a supporting cast.
Lastly, for the sexy and perhaps the only woman in the film, Yvonne Strahovski is not a newbie in action films since she is one of the major characters of a hit action-comedy-adventure series Chuck. She plays as Sarah Walker who is a cunning, sexy CIA agent who happens to protect the asset who is a computer nerd and happens to work at BuyMore. Later on, her character fell in love with the geek but she has to balance her work as a spy and save the world and at the same time, maintain a private relationship with the asset-Chuck.
