Crazy, Stupid Love is a movie that is really an eye opener for all people who have already died out of love and or perhaps just confused. Steve Carrell who stars as Cal and the main character in the movie is the person who in a way is confused on how to bring back his seemingly perfect life. This is after his wife cheated on him and wanted a divorce. After spending time in a bar drinking, he met Jacob, a younger man who showed him how to take control of things and be man. The movie is quite inspiring that many movie watchers can relate to it because most of us, more often than not, have experienced this kind of thing already.

Crazy, Stupid Love is a story which unravels the truth that life cannot be too perfect at all. It literally shows the ups and downs of a relationship which is quite hard to accept. While it is interesting exactly to know that we can all be in love or in a relationship, it is the downside and good thing get to bad which we cannot easily accept. The point of the movie is that it is true that relationships can be under a storm but there are options to take not just one. In the movie, there is the option to surrender and the option to fight. The option to surrender and give up is like the choice of the coward but it is easier said than done. Fighting for love may be the hardest battle in our lives but it is often worth the effort and the try.

The story reveals the different aspects of relationship and the different levels. It is fascinating to know that we all fall in love like crazy and we can do much exciting things when we are crazy in love. This is exactly the opposite of falling out of love and or of not winning the heart of someone we love. These two extremes shown in the movie is highly reflective of what we are in a relationship. If there is something that is so hard to accept in the movie or perhaps, we have no choice to accept, it is the dying of love in a relationship.

Crazy, Stupid Love tells us that it is not wrong to fall in love. It is just right to accept that relationships are not perfect. How it should be and how it will be depends on how big the sacrifice we can make and hoe much more we can give for the one we love. Jealousy, hatred and loneliness, they are all in one package. They only exchange or do shifting but they are the colors of love and relationship. We feel jealous because we are in love. We are jealous because we are selfish. This is no different from winning the world and making all things possible when we are in love. These two ends are all present in a relationship. Although we hate to admit it, but we cannot stay in that “falling in love” moment forever.

The question that is quite interesting to answer is up to how long should we all continue fighting for love? Until when do we have to suffer the pain of seeing the ones we love in the arms of somebody else? These questions are some kind of tricky and yet left unanswered. They often say that we can all fall in love several times. Maybe it is true but when that happens, we no longer know if the love is real or it is just a mere infatuation.

Crazy, Stupid Love is an indirect teacher of both long-time lovers and the beginners in love. It is the answer to those who are confused and perhaps wanting to give up. I used to think that those questions of love can all be answered by silence. Perhaps I am wrong because these questions in the first place should be answered by the ones involved in love. There can be no answers to questions which are left in silence. But yes, love is crazy and we all fall stupid in things we do when love becomes the problem. It is easy to say what to do and what not to do if it is not us involved. But the essence is simply to say that we just need to feel excitement, pain and pleasure in love. That is the package which cannot go separately. We cannot be in a nice and perfect world of relationship because that does not exist. What really exists is a world of love which is imperfect and uncontrollable. What we can control now is just our actions and emotions. To do such thing we need to be strong, strong enough to carry the weight of burden and happiness of being in love.
